Supporting the Foundation

How You Can Help

The IAFC Foundation gratefully accepts and relies on donations from individuals, organizations, foundations, and corporations. Because the Foundation is designated a 501(c)3 by the IRS, all contributions are tax deductible.

Your donation makes a difference! There are several ways to support America's first responders through the IAFC Foundation:

The Scholarship Program Fund

Contributions to the IAFC Foundation's Educational Scholarship Program are given as grants to worthy firefighters seeking to advance their fire service-related educations.

One or more scholarship(s) will be awarded to an applicant who is a IAFC Federal Military Section Member or who works in a federal military department.

The Garry L. Briese Scholarship Fund: Interest earned will be used to award one scholarship annually in honor of Garry L. Briese, former Executive Director of the IAFC from 1985 until February 2007, in recognition for his efforts to improve the fire service.

Become a member of the Century Club by pledging $100 annually for a period of 10 years.

The Heritage Club

The IAFC Foundation's Heritage Club is your opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the Fire Service.  By becoming a member, you are making a commitment through your estate plans to make a legacy gift to the IAFC Foundation.  These endowed funds enable the Foundation to lay the necessary groundwork to support and improve the fire service of the future with greater confidence and stability. Heritage Club members are acknowledged and recognized with a token of our appreciation. Confirmation that you have met with your estate planner or attorney will make it easier for the Foundation to plan for the future.

The Heritage Club invites supporters to carry their legacy forward with a provision for the Foundation in their estate plans such as a will or life insurance policy. To become a member of this club, simply complete and return the Heritage Club membership form to the Foundation.
