Won’t you please help them up the ladder?

Dear Fire and Emergency Services Leader & Supporter:

These are challenging times for our country and especially for our first responders.  Never before have they been asked to do so much with so little.  Now more than ever they need your help.

As a part of the fire and emergency service family, we each have a responsibility to give back to the communities we serve to ensure that those who come after us are well prepared to lead. 

Consider how wonderful it would have been if you’d had the help we are offering the dedicated fire service professionals trying to further their educations, advance their careers, improve the fire service and give back to their communities. Won’t you please help them up the ladder?

Each year the IAFC Foundation’s Scholarship Program provides scholarships for career and volunteer firefighters and Explorer Scouts seeking to further their fire service education in college level courses and related academic programs. Awards totaling $30,000 annually are given to deserving, highly qualified first responders. 

Yet the truth is each year we must turn away qualified applicants due to a lack of funding.  

With your support, we can prepare our future leaders by furthering their education and their ability to serve our communities.
