The IAFC Foundation was chartered as a non-profit organization in 1974. Organized by the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the Foundation's primary purpose is to promote higher education and research in the fire sciences and to provide this information to the fire service

The IAFC Foundation is proud to advance the fire service by helping first responders ensure they are well prepared to face the challenges of today's increasingly complex world by helping them advance their fire service educations.

What's New

- IAFC Foundation Educational Scholarship Application Deadline is 6/1/2008

Fire service professionals who want to further their professional education can apply for educational scholarships with the International Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation (IAFCF). The IAFC Foundation provides financial assistance to emergency services personnel for study at college level or above. The IAFC Foundation awards grants once a year ranging from $500 to $5,000. The deadline for application is June 1, 2008. For more information, click here.

- President John Buckman (2001-2002) has received the Indiana Governor's Awards for outstanding service and contributions to the State of Indiana and IDHS.  John continues to serve the IAFC as the chair of the program planning committee.  We salute John for this achievement.
